The Waltrip PTO is excited to offer scholarships to support members of the Class of 2026 as they take the next step toward their educational and career goals.
The application deadline is Sunday, March 1, 2026 @ 10pm.

Over the weekend, Jazz @1900 performed at Texas State University’s Jazz festival.
Congratulations to several students who received outstanding jazz musician awards!
Meanwhile, the Crimson Horns performed for a Mardi Gras style community gathering in Garden Oaks. They would like to express their appreciation for the invitation!

Rambotics Takes Bronze at State
The VEX UIL State 5A Championship is in the books, and Waltrip brought home semifinalist hardware with a Top 3 finish statewide. We also finished as the highest-ranked team in HISD!
This strong state showing reflects the focus, teamwork, and commitment these students brought all season. They represented Ram Nation and are excited to carry this momentum into what’s next – Texas Region 3 Championship on February 25th.

Project Prom Seeking Donations
Last year Project Prom Houston helped Waltrip, Heights, Northside and Sam Houston seniors look their best for prom. The goal this year is to add two more HISD high schools to the event this year, including Scarborough. To make this happen, the following donations are needed:
- Formal Dresses (short or long, like new, clean, and no rips)
- Special event jewelry and hair accessories
- Ladies dress shoes
- Men’s Tuxedos
- Men’s white tux or dress shirts
- Men’s dress shoes
Donations may be dropped off at the following locations during normal business hours:
- Bungalow Blue Boutique: 1331 Yale St.
- Frankie + Flora: 2015 W. 34th St.
- Heights Discount: 5206 Main St.
