Advanced Academic Night: TONIGHT!

Advanced Academics Night will take place tonight at 5:30pm in the Waltrip library. The event will offer an opportunity to explore postsecondary, college-ready programming at Waltrip:

Meet and greet Houston City College and UT OnRamps representatives
Meet and hear from current Waltrip students in post-secondary courses
Meet Waltrip Faculty teaching postsecondary courses
Receive information to begin dual credit registration

DJ Bingo Auction Fundraising Event: March 28

Get ready for one of Waltrip PTO’s most fun nights of the year! DJ Bingo is the PTO’s biggest fundraising event. It puts a fresh spin on traditional bingo—instead of calling numbers, our DJ plays hit songs and you mark your card when you identify them.

Come dressed as your favorite band, a bingo legend, or in Waltrip gear, and enjoy an evening of good food, dancing, silent & live auctions, and plenty of laughs. All proceeds benefit Waltrip students and programs.

Ram Fest Day #4: Black History Month

Ram Festival Day #4 will be tomorrow, 2/4 during lunch, celebrating Black History Month! All students will be able to enjoy banner painting, a sports inflatable, and a photo booth. Food and drink will be available for purchase (cash only). All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Waltrip clubs and organizations.

We will need some parent volunteers to help set up and run the stations. Sign up today!

Mardi Gras Mambo This Saturday

This event is a “Social” from the fall fundraiser, Jazz on 34th. Socials bring our community together for a variety of fun activities while raising funds for a great cause.

Join us for an adults-only, Mardi Gras themed evening with drinks, dinner, and dessert as we let the good times roll while supporting our Waltrip Ram Fam! There will be beads, there will be music, there will be photo ops galore — this promises to be a great evening that you won’t want to miss out on!

Jazz on 34th Socials

Hosted by Waltrip parents and community members, and with a wide range of exciting activities, Socials are a great way to meet new people and enjoy some unique experiences. They were first introduced at our Jazz on 34th event, but some still have spots available. Check them out and sign up before they’re gone!

Ram Robotics at Nationals

Two Teams. One Mission. Nationals, conquered. VEX JROTC Nationals is officially in the bag, and Ram Nation showed up in a big way.

RamBots had an epic run, powering their way to the semi-finals in the Victory Division, competing against teams from across the country. Strong strategy, steady execution, and serious grit all weekend long.

BattleRams took it even further, earning an impressive Finalist finish in the Freedom Division, placing 2nd in the nation and securing a spot to VEX Worlds in April. An incredible achievement on a national stage.

Senior Scholarship Program

The Waltrip PTO is excited to offer scholarships to support members of the Class of 2026 as they take the next step toward their educational and career goals.

The application deadline is Sunday, March 1, 2026 @ 10pm.

Project Prom Seeking Donations

Last year Project Prom Houston helped Waltrip, Heights, Northside and Sam Houston seniors look their best for prom. The goal this year is to add two more HISD high schools to the event this year, including Scarborough. To make this happen, the following donations are needed:
