Football Season Community Kickoff TONIGHT!
Join us as we officially kick off the 2026 football season. Come say hello to the players, cheerleaders, band, and our mascot, RockSteady Russell.
The event will be held at Stomping Grounds at 6:00 PM. Grab a bite or a drink while you’re there — a portion of proceeds from Little Sister, Polish Bar, Cooking Girl, Bollo, Fat Cat, and La Mex will go directly back to the Waltrip Athletics Booster.
Season opener – this Thursday, 8/27, 7:00 PM at Delmar Stadium!
Open House 9/9
Save the date for Open House on September 9th from 6pm – 8:30pm.
Parents will walk their child’s schedule and are encouraged to attend the full session to allow enough time to visit all 8 classes.
The PTO Store will be open for spirit wear and membership purchases from 5-6pm.

Waltrip Clear Bags: Available to Order
Missed the pre-sale? Clear bags are once again available to order.
Our new Waltrip clear bag complies with HISD’s clear bag policy for all stadiums and facilities, making it the perfect way to cheer on the Rams all season long.
Previous clear bag purchases may be picked up according to the pickup option selected when the order was placed—either by students during lunch in the School Store or at the front desk.
Dual Credit / Dual Enrollment Meeting
Join Waltrip High School for a Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment Night on Wednesday, September 2 at 5:30 PM in the WHS Library.
Families will meet reps from HCC and UT OnRamps and learn about dual credit courses, the HCC Associates Program, Core 42, and CTE certificate options.
