Waltrip Information Night
Prospective families are invited to attend a Waltrip High School Informational Event designed for prospective families who want to learn more about our amazing school community.
The event will offer an opportunity to hear directly from current students, teachers, administrators, and parents, explore our academic programs and extracurricular opportunities, and discover what truly makes Waltrip a special place to learn and grow. Light bites and refreshments will be served.
Post Holiday Regift Exchange
Got a well-meaning but unwanted gift? That sweater from your mother-in-law that’s “not quite your style” or a duplicate kitchen gadget from Aunt Susan? Give it new life at our “Why Did They Give Me This?” Holiday Re-Gift Exchange! Join us on 1/25 for an evening of laughter, stories, and creative gift-swapping. We’ll be serving delicious hors d’oeuvres and festive drinks.

Hosted by Waltrip parents and community members, and with a wide range of exciting activities, Socials are a great way to meet new people and enjoy some unique experiences. They were first introduced at our Jazz on 34th event, but some still have spots available. Check them out and sign up before they’re gone!
Course Selection Informational Meetings
The Waltrip Counseling Department invites parents and students to attend meetings this week about scheduling for the 2026-2027 school year. The meetings will be from 4:30 – 6:30 in the library:

Wednesday, January 21: Classes of 2028 & 2029

Spring-Cycle Mini Grants
The Waltrip PTO is pleased to once again offer a spring-cycle mini-grant program!
Teachers and staff may apply for mini-grant awards for new materials for classrooms and school projects, programs, events, and school presentations.
The application deadline is this Friday, January 23.
Senior Scholarship Program
The Waltrip PTO is excited to offer scholarships to support members of the Class of 2026 as they take the next step toward their educational and career goals.
The application deadline is Sunday, March 1, 2026 @ 10pm.
Waltrip Talent Show: 1/30
The Class of 2027 presents the 2nd annual Waltrip Talent Show!
Families are invited to attend the evening show – Friday, January 30 at 7pm (doors open at 6:15).
Tickets will be sold at the door; proceeds directly benefit the Class of 2027:

Robotics Success at VEX USTEM
Congrats to our RamBots team for earning the Design Award and finishing as Tournament Champions, showcasing strong engineering, strategy, and execution. BattleRams also delivered an incredible performance, taking the Triple Crown with Tournament Champion, Skills Champion, and the prestigious Excellence Award honors. These sister teams competed as alliance partners, proving that preparation, collaboration, and trust are at the heart of their success.
Next up VEX Kalahari Classic Signature Event & JROTC VEX Nationals in Sandusky, Ohio.

The Lady Rams Athletic Booster Club is dedicated to championing girls sports at Waltrip, helping our student-athletes reach their full potential.
