The Waltrip PTO is hosting a voter registration table tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, during lunch in the Waltrip Cafeteria. Students who are 18, or will turn 18 by November 3, are encouraged to stop by and get registered.
This is a nonpartisan event. No candidates, political parties, or political positions will be endorsed or promoted.
PTO Grant Applications Open
The Waltrip High School PTO Grant Program supports projects, programs, materials, events, athletics, and other initiatives that benefit Waltrip students and our school community. We encourage teachers and staff to think creatively with their applications — all ideas are welcome!

College Fair 10/8
Students and families can explore dozens of colleges and universities in one evening at the Waltrip High School College Fair.
College, career, and military representatives will be on hand to answer questions and talk through options.

Jazz on 34th: Tickets & Sponsorships!
Jazz on 34th kicks off Waltrip PTO’s annual fundraising season with an evening of live auction items, socials (sign-up parties), and live entertainment from our very own Jazz@1900 band.
Support Waltrip students, teachers, campus organizations, and school improvements by becoming a sponsor of Jazz on 34th. Sponsorship includes food and drink tickets. Explore sponsorship levels and help us make a school-wide impact!

Jazz on 34th Street — November 4: An intimate evening with a small live auction, social sign-ups, and of live music from Waltrip’s own Jazz@1900 band. A cozy night for a great cause.
DJ Bingo — January 30: Our biggest event of the year! High-energy, DJ-hosted bingo plus live and silent auctions. A lively night that gives back in a big way.

Message from Nurse Randy on Parent Square
Healthy vision is a critical part of learning well in school. If your student states that they cannot see well, has been squinting to see the board, has broken glasses, or feels like they need an eye exam, have them come to the nurse’s clinic for an exam and consent form. Students can get glasses at no cost through vision clinics sponsored by the Houston Health Department and other participating agencies. Email randy.folse@houstonisd.org for more information.

Our new Waltrip clear bag complies with HISD’s clear bag policy for all stadiums and facilities, making it the perfect way to cheer on the Rams all season long.
Previous clear bag purchases may be picked up according to the pickup option selected when the order was placed—either by students during lunch in the School Store or at the front desk.
