Free HOCO Dress Pop-Up Shop at Waltrip Tomorrow
Project Prom Houston will be hosting a FREE Pop-Up Shop for homecoming dresses at Waltrip tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct 7, in the library during lunch. Students are invited to come “shop” for their perfect HOCO dress!
Senior Parent Meeting
Parents of seniors, please join us Thursday, October 15 at 6:00 PM in the WHS Library for the Senior Parent Meeting. We’ll cover key dates and activities for the year ahead, and you’ll have a chance to meet the people who will help guide our seniors through to graduation.

The Waltrip High School PTO Grant Program supports projects, programs, materials, events, athletics, and other initiatives that benefit Waltrip students and our school community. We encourage teachers and staff to think creatively with their applications — all ideas are welcome!

College Fair This Thursday
Students and families can explore dozens of colleges and universities in one evening at the Waltrip High School College Fair.
College, career, and military representatives will be on hand to answer questions and talk through options.

Jazz on 34th: November 4th
Jazz on 34th kicks off Waltrip PTO’s annual fundraising season with an evening of live auction items, socials (sign-up parties), and live entertainment from our very own Jazz@1900 band. The fun takes place on November 4 at Trees for Houston (across the street from Waltrip).
Purchase Tickets! General Admission tickets are $75 through October 28. Price increases to $90 on October 29. Tickets must be purchased in advance — none will be sold at the door.
Become a Sponsor! Support Waltrip students, teachers, campus organizations, and school improvements. Sponsorship includes food and drink tickets. Explore sponsorship levels and help us make a school-wide impact!

Jazz on 34th Street — November 4: An intimate evening with a small live auction, social sign-ups, and of live music from Waltrip’s own Jazz@1900 band. A cozy night for a great cause.
DJ Bingo — January 30: Our biggest event of the year! High-energy, DJ-hosted bingo plus live and silent auctions. A lively night that gives back in a big way.

Throughout the year, the PTO hosts events to thank the Waltrip teachers and staff who show up for our students every day, and we can’t do it without help from our families.

Waltrip Ofrenda
In honor of Día de los Muertos, Día de los Difuntos, Día de los Angelitos and All Saints Day, we’re creating a community ofrenda.
Students, staff and families are invited to share the names and photos of loved ones they wish to remember.
The ofrenda will be on display Monday, Oct. 26, through Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the front hall near the PTO School Store and Auditorium. Stop by anytime that week to visit and reflect.
