Spring Band Concert & Taco Dinner
Don’t miss the Waltrip Ram Band’s Spring Concert and Taco Dinner this Tuesday in the Waltrip Performance Gym!
Dinner begins at 6pm, followed by the concert from 7-9pm.
Dinner tickets must be purchased by April 29 — only a very limited number will be sold at the door, so don’t wait!
Welcome, Class of 2030 and 2026-2027 Transfers
The Class of 2030 and all 2026-2027 transfers will be welcomed into the Ram Fam during signing Night on Thursday, April 30.
Every incoming student (zoned and transfer!) is invited to officially begin their journey as a Waltrip Ram:
- Meet teachers, administrators, and counseling team
- Explore athletics, fine arts, and club opportunities
- Get a head start on scheduling by meeting face-to-face with counselors.
Rambotics Wins Rookie All-Star Award
Congrats to Waltrip’s FIRST Rambotics team for earning the Rookie All-Star Award at the district event — one of the highest honors a first-year team can receive.
Freshman Logan Milhau was recognized as All-Star Safety Captain, for his leadership and commitment to keeping everyone safe on the competition floor.
Next stop: District Championship. Let’s go, Ram Nation!

April’s Ram Fest will take place on April 29th during lunch. We’ll be celebrating every ability, every story, every student. Come together, support each other, and be part of something bigger. All students. All backgrounds. One Ram Nation.

Staff Appreciation: May 4 – 8

Spring Sports Awards Ceremony
Waltrip’s Spring Sports Awards Ceremony will take place on May 1 at 6PM in the auditorium. The ceremony will be followed by refreshments in the cafeteria. Mark your calendars!
3DE Student Spotlight
WHS junior Chloe Peters recently had the opportunity to speak at the Marc Vandermeer Golf Classic. Sharing the stage with Marc Vandermeer himself, Chloe spoke about the real impact of 3DE by Junior Achievement on her high school journey: building business skills through industry case challenges, growing as a leader in the 3DE Ambassador program, and finding her voice in rooms that matter.
