Waltrip High School follows an alternating A/B block schedule for the 2026–2027 school year. Students may enter campus beginning at 7:45 AM through the cafeteria side entrance, and breakfast is served before school. Students are dismissed to class at 8:25 AM, instruction begins at 8:30 AM, and the school day ends at 4:00 PM.
Waltrip has a new one-hour lunch period from 11:54 AM–12:54 PM, providing students with built-in time for clubs and other campus activities. Juniors and seniors who have met campus expectations may be eligible for off-campus lunch privileges. Students should contact the 11th or 12th grade office for information about lunch passes.
