Jazz on 34th: Seeking Sponsorships

The 3rd annual Waltrip PTO fundraiser will be held on Thursday, November 6th at Trees for Houston.
A variety of sponsorship levels are available, and are a great option for community businesses that want to support Waltrip while gaining visibility at the event and online.
All proceeds directly benefit Waltrip students, teachers, organizations, and campus improvements.
Host a Social! An important fundraising aspect of the event is socials – unique gatherings that bring our Waltrip community together. Do you have an idea for a social or want to host one? Let us know by filling out our form!
PTO Meeting TONIGHT

Join us on Tuesday, Oct 21 for a packed PTO meeting! The Waltrip Alumni Association will share their 50th Anniversary Cookbook (just $20 to raise money for Waltrip scholarships) and—fingers crossed—bring samples from the book. Lifesavers ER (3820 N Shepherd), our newest Community Partner, will stop by with treats and details on internships for HOSA students, CPR classes for kids, and hydration/first-aid support for our teams. We’ll also welcome Councilmember Abbie Kamin as our guest speaker.
Rambotics Deliver Results

The VEX BattleRams delivered a strong performance—finishing 4th in Skills, 2nd in overall competition, and proudly bringing home the INNOVATE Award for outstanding design and strategy.
The VEX RamBots made their inaugural debut at the USTEM Push Back competition, earning an impressive 6th in Defense Power Rating, 12th Alliance Pick, and advancing to the Round of 16 Eliminations.
Ram Nation continues to rise—way to go, Rambotics!
Papa Johns Spirit Night Tomorrow

Place an online order with Papa Johns on 43rd on Wednesday, October 22nd and 20% of the proceeds will go to the PTO!
** Important: orders must be placed online @ papajohns.com and promo code TXFUND must be used.
Campus Cleanup: Saturday, Oct 25

Ram Nation, please join us for a campus work day on 10/25 to spruce up our tennis courts. The courts received repairs from the Houston Spark Park Association earlier this year and are now ready for some upkeep to keep them in great shape. Please bring garden gloves, pruning shears and rubber gloves if you have them!
The Waltrip PTO will provide snacks and water for all volunteers.

From WHS Counseling: Character Counts Week

The Waltrip Counseling Department invites all students and staff to participate in Character Counts Week, a celebration of the six pillars of character. Each day will highlight a specific character trait through themed activities and spirit wear:
- Monday – Trustworthiness (Wear Blue)
- Tuesday – Respect (Wear Yellow)
- Wednesday – Responsibility & Unity (Wear Green/Orange)
- Thursday – Fairness & Caring (Wear Orange)
- Friday – Citizenship (Wear Purple)
This week provides an opportunity to promote kindness, respect, and responsibility within our school community. We encourage everyone to participate and help us make character count.
