May PTO Meeting Tonight!
Join us for the last PTO meeting of the year next Tuesday at 6pm. Members will vote on the 2026-2027 Executive Board slate, 2026-2027 budget, and proposed bylaws changes.
Waltrip Fútbol Fest
Fútbol Fest will take place during lunch this Friday, May 29. This is a FREE student culture event sponsored by the Waltrip High School PTO.
Students are invited to wear their favorite team jersey, country colors, or Waltrip spirit wear. Paletas will be provided, as well as interactive games and fun.
Let’s celebrate the excitement of the World Cup coming to Houston this summer — Waltrip style!
Congratulations, PTO Scholarship Recipients!
This year the PTO was excited to launch the Waltrip PTO Scholarship Program! We are so proud to support 11 students from the Class of 2026 as they take their next step toward their educational and career goals.
These scholarships represent just one of the many ways PTO fundraising directly impacts our students. Thank you to everyone who made it possible!
Lotería Fun
Thank you to everyone who came out for the PTO’s Lotería (Bingo) Night last Saturday! Families gathered at Waltrip for an evening full of fun, prizes, and great food. We can’t wait to do it again!
Senior Sunset 6/4
Seniors are invited to on the last day of school! The Waltrip PTO is sending off the Class of 2026 in style with a giant slip ‘n slide, ice cream, DJ & music, food & drinks, and a photo booth.

Summer SAC Camp
All HISD students in grades 6-12 are invited to attend Strength and Conditioning Camp (SAC) at Waltrip this summer.
SAC Camp will take place Monday through Thursday, from June 15th through July 16th (Off days: June 19th & July 1st – 3rd.
Summer STEAM Camp
It’s back again this year, but is better than ever:
- Added the “A” to make it “STEAM”
- Longer hours, more time to create
- Two different weeks, two unique experiences (week 1 is full; email

- Even more hands-on, build-it-yourself moments
