Waltrip Robotics Going Strong

BattleRams came in strong at VEX Holiday Push It!, bringing home another Excellence Award. The team made a deep run and reached the semifinals, where a tough on-field tangle with another robot cut the match short. Not the finish they were aiming for, but still a standout showing and a well-earned recognition of the work they put in.

Texas Best UIL Robotics was a big moment for Waltrip, earning our inaugural UIL Award for Booth Design and Construction. Huge thanks to Spoony’s production house for creating an immersive and unforgettable playground for the BEST team. Waltrip’s BEST Robotics Team is made up of six departments: Robot, Exhibit, Programming, Engineering Notebook, Marketing, and Spirit. From kickoff to competition, it’s eight weeks to game day and ten weeks to UIL, with hundreds of hours of hard work behind the scenes.
