Spring Band Concert & Taco Dinner – TONIGHT
Don’t miss the Waltrip Ram Band’s Spring Concert and Taco Dinner tonight in the Waltrip Performance Gym!
Dinner begins at 6pm, followed by the concert from 7-9pm.

District Champs + Round 2 of Playoffs!
Congratulations to the varsity baseball team on an impressive undefeated season in district play, with a record of 18-0!
They also advanced past the first round of playoffs, defeating Randle in a best-of-three series.

Legends of the Stage: This Friday
Waltrip’s dance program invites you to an unforgettable evening of dance, featuring performances by Beginning, Intermediate, and Advance Dance, the Oak Forest Bobcat Belles, and the Waltrip Roses.

Lotería Community Event
Mark your calendars! The PTO is hosting a FREE Lotería (Bingo) Night on May 23 from 4–6 PM at Waltrip. All families are welcome to play, win prizes, and enjoy free food. Come connect with your community — it’s going to be a great time!
Spring Sports Awards Ceremony – New Date!
Waltrip’s Spring Sports Awards Ceremony has been rescheduled for May 22. It will take place at 6pm in the cafeteria.
Sports Physicals: 5/19
Sports physicals for the 2026-2027 school year will be offered at Waltrip on May 19 from 3:30 – 5PM.
All students must have a current sports physical on file before participating in practices or competition.
Summer SAC Camp
All HISD students in grades 6-12 are invited to attend Strength and Conditioning Camp (SAC) at Waltrip this summer.
SAC Camp will take place Monday through Thursday, from June 15th through July 16th (Off days: June 19th & July 1st – 3rd.
