We’ll be voting in the 2025–2026 PTO Executive Board, sharing important campus updates, and taking a moment to recap all we’ve accomplished together this year—from events and fundraisers to campus improvements and teacher support.
Stick around afterward for Coffee with the Principal—a great chance to hear directly from Waltrip leadership, ask questions, and stay connected as we head into summer.

Senior Clap Out is Almost Here!
It’s time to celebrate our graduating seniors with one of our favorite traditions— Senior Clap Outs at their former elementary and middle schools! Seniors can visit their old campuses to walk the halls in cap and gown while younger students and former teachers cheer them on.
Bring your Waltrip student ID and wear your cap and gown!
Students must be checked out by a parent to attend—these are off-campus events hosted by the elementary/middle schools.
Current List of Scheduled Clap Outs:
Harvard Elementary – 5/23 at 2:00 PM (check in 15–20 minutes early)
Helms Elementary – 5/23 at 2:00 PM (meet in cafeteria)
Oak Forest Elementary – 5/23 at 1:15 PM
Durham Elementary – 5/23 at 1:30 PM
Garden Oaks Montessori Magnet – 5/30 at 1:30 PM (check in by 1:15 PM)
Baker Montessori – 5/30 at ~1:25 PM (check in by 1:15 PM)
Sinclair Elementary – 5/30 at 2:00 PM
Frank Black Middle School – 5/30 at 3:15 PM (check in at front office by 2:55 PM)

The Class of 2027 is selling snow cones after school on Fridays! Swing by after the bell to cool off and support our sophomore class. Your sweet treat helps fund future class activities and events!

Waltrip is offering free and low-cost summer sports camps for students in grades K–12! From softball to soccer, volleyball to wrestling—and our popular S.A.C. Strength & Conditioning Camp—there’s something for every Ram.
Roarin’ in the Summer is Back—Now with Jazz!
The 3rd Annual Roarin’ in the Summer Band Camp returns this June—and new this year is Jazzin’ in the Summer, Waltrip’s first jazz-intensive camp!
Who: 4th–12th grade band students with at least one year of experience
What: Fun, skill-building activities, daily private lessons, and a focus on musicianship, teamwork, and leadership
When:
Roarin’ in the Summer: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM, June 16–20 & June 23–27 (no camp June 19)
Jazzin’ in the Summer: 1:30 PM–3:30 PM, same dates
Cost: $100 per camp – Free for current and incoming 9th grade Waltrip band students
