Key Senior Events & Deadlines for the Class of 2025
Prom:
- Date: Friday, April 25, 2025
- Location: Hyatt Regency – Galleria, 2626 Sage Road, Houston, TX 77056
- Tickets: Information coming soon; ticket prices have historically been under $100.
- Fundraiser: A prom-specific fundraiser will support event costs, such as decorations and a selfie station.
- Participation: Prom is not included in senior dues, but most seniors attend.
Graduation:
- Date: Friday, June 6, 2025, at Delmar Fieldhouse at 3 PM.
- Ticket Information: Will be provided soon.
Senior Dues:
- Amount: $100, which covers:
- Panoramic photo (spring)
- Senior breakfast
- Diploma covers
- Professional graduation photos
- Senior T-shirt (design voting ongoing on Instagram)
- Payment: Seniors must pay online via School Pay to participate in prom or purchase merchandise. Over half the seniors have already paid.
Senior Class Meetings & Important Dates:
- Senior Class Student Meeting:
- Date: October 16, 2024
- Time: 9 AM
- Location: Auditorium
- Details: This mandatory meeting includes CPR training, a financial aid session (FAFSA or TASFA required for graduation), a cap and gown presentation, and attendance checks.
- Cap & Gown Portraits:
- Dates: November 4-6, 2024
- Sitting Fee: $10, includes multiple poses and professional photography by NTA.
- Photos Ready: By Christmas 2024.
Graduation & Other Key Info:
- Herff Jones Ordering:
- Herff Jones will provide information on ordering graduation caps, gowns, class rings, and announcements. They will assist seniors during both lunches the week following the meeting on October 16th.

- TSI Testing & CCMR Requirements:
- Keep an eye out for TSI testing dates. Meeting College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) requirements is crucial.
- Attendance: Remind students they must attend at least 90% of classes to avoid “NG” (No Grade) on their report cards.

Application & Financial Aid:
- College Application Deadlines:
- Early Action Deadlines: UT Austin & Texas A&M by October 15th.
- Regular Decision Deadlines: December 1st.
- Financial Aid:
- Application Opens: December 1st
- FSAID: Both student and parent must have separate FSAID accounts for FAFSA, with matching information to ensure proper linking.
- First FAFSA Workshop: December 10, 2024, at Waltrip.
Important Resources:
- School Links Platform:
- Tracks college applications, recommendation letters, and transcripts. Students must set up accounts to manage their applications. More info here.
- Common App: Automatically syncs with School Links. Manual updates are required for Apply Texas and other platforms.
- Senior Webpage & Facebook:

Attendance & College Visit Days:
- College Visit Days:
- Students may be excused for up to three days for college visits, but these must be properly coded by Ms. Guidry. Confirm with her regarding any absences.
- Attendance:
- Attendance is crucial for avoiding “No Grade” (NG) statuses. If a student has more than three absences in a class, NGs may be triggered.
