Volunteer
Interested in getting more involved with Waltrip PTO? Whether you’d like to help shape the future of our school by joining a committee or lend a hand in the school store, we’d love to have you!
Committees focus on everything from fundraising and teacher appreciation to events and campus improvements, while the school store is a fun way to see Waltrip up close and meet our amazing students during lunch. Shifts are short, and we always need extra hands! Let us know where you’d like to help by filling out the committee interest form or signing up for a school store shift here: https://waltriphspto.org/store-volunteer.
Committee Opportunities
Not sure where you fit in? Here’s a quick overview of how you can help.
Class of 2026 / 2027 / 2028 / 2029
Support class-specific fundraisers, events, and initiatives for your student’s grade.
Capital Improvements / Campus Beautification
This committee oversees the stewardship of funds for long-term campus upgrades. Projects focus on beautification, safety, and practical enhancements that benefit both students and staff.
Community / Parent Engagement
This committee coordinates outreach and engagement with current and prospective families, including school tours and community events.
Educational Support / Teacher Grants
Bridges the gap between teachers and parents by identifying needs, recruiting input from various departments, and helping write or manage teacher grant opportunities.
Fundraising / Community Partners
Support fundraising efforts that benefit students, teachers, and the campus. Help build partnerships with local businesses and organizations by securing sponsorships, coordinating spirit nights, and managing corporate donation opportunities.
Help plan and host fun, inclusive events that foster school spirit and build community for students and families. Support student-focused activities like dances and on-campus celebrations, as well as larger PTO-led fundraising events throughout the year.
One of our biggest volunteer needs! Help staff the school store during lunch, assist with inventory, and keep things running smoothly. It’s a great way to be on campus and connect with students and staff—while raising money for the school!

Teacher / Staff Appreciation
