3DE Case Challenge Winners!

Congratulations to our 9.4 Case Challenge | Arby’s winners — Makaya Holmes & Teyonna McClary!

After a series of presentations judged by industry partners from SCI, these two rose to the top. Makaya and Teyonna put their hard work, creativity, and professionalism on full display. Their presentation has been officially submitted to compete against 43 3DE High Schools across the nation!

This is a what Waltrip’s 3DE model is all about — connecting students to real-world business challenges, industry professionals, and opportunities that go far beyond the classroom.

Seeking Judges for 3DE Market Expo

We’re looking for volunteer judges for the 3DE Market Expo this Thursday. Our 11th grade students have been hard at work creating and building their own businesses — and now it’s time for them to shine.

As a judge, you’ll visit student booths, listen to their pitches, and help score teams for awards. No experience necessary — just a willingness to engage and encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs!

Robotics Texas Region 3 Championship Update

The BattleRams wrapped up the Texas Region 3 Championship with a quarterfinal run and the Build Award — earning their second qualification to VEX Worlds in St. Louis this April.

Over the season, they racked up 12 awards including 3 Excellence Awards, 3 Tournament Championships, and a Robot Skills title.

The RamBots also shone, taking home a Tournament Championship and the Design Award.

Congratulations to both teams for an outstanding season representing Waltrip Rambotics and Ram Nation. Go luck at VEX Worlds this April!

Robotics Challenge: March 28

The award-winning Waltrip Robotics Team is hosting an open robotics challenge for K–12 students on March 28 at Waltrip High School. Teams will compete in four missions inside a carnival-themed environment — open to schools, homeschool groups, clubs, and friend or family teams alike. No affiliation required, and no robot needed to get started.

Project Prom Seeking Donations

Last year Project Prom Houston helped Waltrip, Heights, Northside and Sam Houston seniors look their best for prom. The goal this year is to add two more HISD high schools to the event this year, including Scarborough. To make this happen, the following donations are needed:
