We are so excited to welcome Ms. Margaret Randall as Waltrip High School’s new principal! Her first day on campus is this Friday, and we can’t wait for her to officially join the Ram Nation family.

Ms. Randall is an Oak Forest area resident and a proud Waltrip mom, bringing both a personal and professional connection to our community. With 20 years of experience in education, she is a dedicated leader who values collaboration, innovation, and student success.

We also want to wish Principal Cortez the very best of luck on her next venture. Thank you for your leadership and dedication to Waltrip—we’ll miss you!

Veronica has earned a spot in the 2025 Rodeo Livestock Show and Rodeo, advancing to the NRG phase of judging for Best in Show, Gold Medal, and Special Merit! Her stunning artwork will be displayed in the Hayloft Gallery throughout the Houston Rodeo.

We also want to give a huge shout-out to other talented Waltrip art students who earned 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons. Their artwork is on display in the front reception area for all to admire.

Volunteers are needed for the PTO School Store! The store raises much-needed funds for our school, but we can’t stay open without volunteers. If you’re VIPS approved, please sign up for a spot and help support Waltrip! Getting approved is quick and easy—it only takes a few minutes. Your time makes a big difference!

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, we will be handing out gift bags and red envelopes to teachers and staff to offer them blessings during the Year of the Snake.
